BOIL WATER NOTICE NASEBY LIFTED
UPDATE - BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED - Naseby Thursday 13 March 2025, 4.30pm
The Council has had three days of clear testing, which means the Boil Water Notice can be lifted for Naseby. The water is now safe to drink straight from the tap again. Those with storage tanks should consider flushing them to enable clean water into their systems.
The team will be out tomorrow to remove the signage and tankers.
Thanks, and for the community's patience over the past few days.

UPDATE - NASEBY 12 March 2025, 9.30am
A Boil Water Notice remains in place for the Naseby town supply because of a major leak that occurred Monday night, but the good news is that we are approaching our third day of the three-day testing period and hope to be able to lift the notice on Friday (14 March 2025) provided the test results come back clear.
Until the boil water notice is officially lifted remember to boil all water used for drinking, food preparation and cooking, and cleaning your teeth. Bring water to a rolling boil and boil for at least a minute, then allow it to cool naturally.
Drinking water tankers remain in place on Derwent Street and the corner of Larch Avenue and Swimming Dam Road. Please let your neighbours, family and friends know that you think may not see this online or via app and radio advisories.
Thanks for your patience.

It has come to our attention that there has been a sudden drop in pressure in the water system in Naseby most likely caused by a major leak, which has depleted the reservoir levels, therefore the town is on a Boil Water Notice until further notice.
We will go about finding the leak as soon as possible. If you have any information, or seen any unexplained leaks, please contact us on: (03) 440 0056 anytime or email the water team: water@codc.govt.nz. Sorry for the inconvenience and notification at this late hour. We will be assessing and providing an update as soon as possible on Tuesday.
