Alexandra Library Renovation Project gets a wriggle on
Hoping to bring an update early on in 2024 that will push this project to the next stage. Once the construction details are firmed up, Alexandra Library will be moving to a temporary pop-up based at Central Stories, Alexandra while the refurbishment goes on.

Ranfurly isite Christmas tree
This year Council distributed $268,784 in community grants. In last year’s round, Ranfurly received $2000 towards the Ranfurly isite’s Christmas tree which was lit up for the first time as part of the Ranfurly 125th celebrations.

Great scenes in Ranfurly during the celebrations. When Santa ran out of reindeer, an alpaca stepped in!

It has been a year of public consultations and plan change proposals, and one of the most exciting is a plan change that seeks to protect our special night sky from light pollution.

Taking an historic cottage into the future
The Vallance Cottage working group has been hard at it this year future-proofing this unique pioneer cottage for the community and visitors to enjoy. People can gain access via the key pad at the front door.

The last Citizenship Ceremony for the year, and it was huge!
