Wastewater pipe replacement in RANFURLY – Update Thursday 2 May 2024
The work in front of the Ranfurly Hotel on Charlemont Street, was initially planned to be completed by this Friday May 3.
However, we have encountered some issues on-site, requiring an extension to 10 May.
Meanwhile, the work at 44-50 Charlemont Street is now starting Thursday 9 May, with an anticipated completion date of 31 May.
The Thomas Street West work, which commenced on 1 May, is expected to be completed by 28 May.
While the physical work on Thomas Street East is completed, some traffic restrictions remain in place because of the regulations for installing the pipe across the highway. To access Thomas Street East from the State Highway, drivers are requested to take a detour via Bute Street or John Street.
