Clyde Wastewater Project tender awarded
The Central Otago District Council has reached a pivotal step in the Clyde Wastewater Project with the awarding of the main pump station tender to HEB Construction.
With offices in Queenstown, HEB Construction has been operating across New Zealand since the late 1970s and has significant experience in construction of wastewater management systems.
At just over $3.4million, the pump station will transport wastewater through the 10.5km pipeline to Alexandra for treatment, providing the Clyde community with significant environmental, health and well-being benefits for decades to come. The pump station and associated emergency storage tanks will be located on reserve land adjacent to Dunstan Hospital.
Site establishment is scheduled to start in early December 2021 with work to be completed by mid-2022.
