There are new faces around the table at the Teviot Valley Community Board, following the swearing in of members in chambers at Roxburgh yesterday (Wednesday (2 November).
Norman Dalley returned and was voted in as chair with new member Mark Jessop as deputy chair.
Sally Feinerman, who signed her declaration of office as a Central Otago District councillor last week, returned as a community board member.
New member Gill Booth was also sworn in, along with not so new member Russell Read, who served in the 2015-2018 triennium, and returns for the 2022-2025 term.
In accepting the chair, Norman paid tribute to former board members Raymond Gunn, who served as chair for several terms, and to former CODC Cr Stephen Jeffery, for their contributions.
“We’re going to miss Stephen and Raymond. They’ve been around so long, and they have so much experience. You can’t replace that.”
Cushla Aitchison was the third board member who did not to stand for this term.
