Consultation countdown for community plans - close 1 May 2023
Less than a week remains for people to share their ideas and views for the Central Otago District Council’s Annual Plan and Long-term Brainstorm.
For the past month, people have been able to give their feedback either in hard copy or online via the council’s consultation platform Let’s Talk.
As of Monday (24 April), Council had received 134 ideas online in response to the Annual Plan 2023-24, which features a proposal to give a grant to Iceinline Central towards construction of a roof over its ice rink at Molyneux Park, Alexandra. For the Long-term Brainstorm consultation, which gives guidance for projects over the next 10 years and beyond, Council had so far received 18 ideas online.
The consultation for both closes next Monday 1 May at 5pm.
Up until closing date, people can still go to Let’s Talk and give their ideas at: https://lets-talk.codc.govt.nz/long-term-brainstorm. All ideas collected will be reviewed by staff, councillors and community board members. An update on the status of these ideas will be provided through the Long-term Brainstorm project page and Council’s communication channels. Hard copies of the Long-term Brainstorm are still available from service centres and libraries.
People can also still go to Let’s Talk to give their responses: https://lets-talk.codc.govt.nz/annual-plan-consultation-2023. Community boards and councillors will consider submissions 18-31 May. Hard copies of the Annual Plan document and survey are still available from service centres.
