Holiday Services

The Alexandra Council Office, Cromwell and Ranfurly service centres will close at 3pm Tue 24 December 2024 and reopen at 8.30am on Monday 6 January 2025.

The Roxburgh Service Centre, being also a library and isite, will close at 3pm Tue 24 December 2024 and reopen 9am on Friday 3 January 2025.

Central Libraries this summer 2023-2024

Register for the summer reading programme at your local library these holidays. Every time you read or do a reading activity you get to colour in a square on your reading trail map. Alexandra and Cromwell Transfer Station will be open every day from 10am-5pm except Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Ranfurly and Roxburgh Transfer Station will be open from 1pm-4pm over the holidays except for 25, 27, 30 December 2024 and 1, 3, 6 January 2025 when it will be closed.

If you are travelling through the district and have bagged waste and/or recycling to get rid of, please go to the nearest transfer station or recycling drop off to your route as above.

Planning:

Under the Resource Management Act 1991 the statutory clock for resource consents stops on 20 December 2024 and restarts on 10 January 2025, with the last day of work for the year being 24 December and recommencing on 6 January 2024.

Land Information Memorandum (LIM) processing clock stops from 20 December 2024 to 10 January 2025.

Building:

Under the Building Act 2004 the statutory clock stops on 20 December 2024 and restarts on 10 January 2025. The Building Team continues to receive and work on consents up to 24 December 2024 and recommences on 6 January 2025.The last day for Building Inspections will be 24 December and these will begin again on 6 January 2024.

And don't forget, it's important to make sure building/resource consent applications have all the necessary information. If not, the application may not be accepted, or processing may be suspended until the information is provided.
