Organise a Burial

For booking a burial, including ash interments, in Council-run cemeteries phone as soon as possible to make a reservation for available dates and times. We normally require 48 hours' notice before the funeral takes place.

There is an Apply for an interment (burial) form to be completed. This can be completed by you or your funeral director. If you are unsure about the documentation, please call us for assistance.

Burial of Ashes

Families have the option of covering the ashes after the interment. Please let us know if you would like to do this and we will arrange to have the appropriate tools on site.

If you would like to leave ornaments or flowers on site please try and keep them on the concrete berm area.

If you prefer not to use a funeral director, there is the option of organising the funeral yourself.
