To make an objection:
If you wish to object to any application listed above you may do so by completing the Alcohol objection form online.
We also have a manual method for those for those wishing to send in a written objection. These can be sent to the Secretary, Central Otago District Licensing Committee, Central Otago District Council, PO Box 122, Alexandra, no later than 5.00pm on the closing date shown.
The submission must be dated, signed by you and include the following information:
- Your name, postal address and phone number;
- Details of the application in respect of which you are making the objection;
- Your objection, with reasons;
- Whether you wish to be heard in support of your objection.
An acknowledgment of your objection will be sent at the close of the objection period.
A copy of your objection will be sent to the applicant as part of the application process.
IMPORTANT: Only people who can demonstrate that he/she has an interest greater than the public generally may object to an application. Once this threshold has been met the grounds on which an objection may be made are found in section 105 of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
